Curb Observation Field Crew

Our Chicago office firm is looking for temporary staff interested in working as Field Crew. We are looking to hire two to four people to fill this position.

The work involves assisting our survey and tech staff with installing and maintaining observation cameras installed on several Chicago locations (North Grant Park and Streeterville neighborhoods). Field Crew’s main responsibility is holding the ladder and making sure pedestrians, bikers, scooters, etc. do not cross the safety cones. The field crewmember will also assist with carrying equipment, positioning safety cones and caution tape, note taking, and any tasks as required assisting the survey and tech staff. The fieldwork will be conducted from Aug. 1-20, 2022 and Sept. 19-Oct. 8, 2022. We are looking for reliable workers who arrive on time for their shifts, are able to lift at least 60 pounds, and are a team player.

Minimum qualifications include:

    • At least high school graduate with adequate math skills o Must have a cell phone for communication purposes
    • Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds
    • Inter-personal and communication skills are a must
    • Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment is expected o Ability to use laptops and tablets is a plus

Shift schedule is currently as follows (but is subject to change):

Mondays, 10 pm – 2 am
Tuesdays, 9am- 1pm
Wednesdays, 9am – 1pm and 10pm-2am
Thursdays, 9am – 1pm and 10pm-2am
Fridays, 9am – 1pm
Saturday, 12 am – 4 am and 10am – 2 pm (or 4 am – 12 pm)

Pay rate: Pay rate is $20 per hour. You will be paid a minimum of 4 hours each shift. If you work more than 4 hours in a day, you will be paid an additional $20 per hour. If you work more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid overtime rate of $30 per hour.
